| Third grade is an exciting year of transitions for students as they progress from "Learning to Read" to "Reading to Learn." They utilize the comprehension strategies they've learned and apply them to reading in all the content areas across the curriculum. Developing thinking and problem solving strategies is crucial, encouraging students to become active, independent thinkers and learners. Organization, study skills, and interpersonal skills are carefully developed in third grade as well, to help students be successful for the future. |
